Special Offer

The Madeira Flower Festival takes place every spring when the flowers are at their best (in 2010 Saturday 17th April and Sunday 18th April). There are parades through the streets iof Funchal in traditional costumes accompanied with music and dancing. As part of the event there are other activities like the making of flower carpets in the streets, awarding of prizes for the best decorated show window, performances or traditional music groups, a flower exhibition, classical music concerts and a number of variety shows. A new edition in recent years has been the so-called 'Wall of Hope' - a wall where children place their flowers with the objective of building a big flower wall symbolising the hope for a better and more peaceful world. The holiday includes accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis with return airport transfers. Also included are visits to the Flower Festival in Funchal on Saturday and Sunday, guided tour of the Botanical Gardens, visit to an Orchid Farm and Madeira Wine Tasting. In addition there are optional full/half day levada walks and guided tours of Madeira.We can offer a choice of over 20 different hotels varying in size to suit all pockets.
