Anguilla Anguilla is literally a beach lover’s paradise. Its interior is flat and dry with low-level vegetation - all a far cry from some other Caribbean islands which are more luxuriant, such as St Vincent. This all means that the primary focus of a holiday on Anguilla is the vibrant colours of the blue, green and turquoise sea and the alluring white sand beaches. Swimming, snorkelling and diving in the crystal clear waters are a pleasure, as are sails and cruises around the island. The island does luxury holidays well, without becoming pretentious, a tribute to the locals warm welcome, charm and geniality. The hotels are respecters of privacy, attracting those who want attentive service, but not to be suffocated by it. Cuisine is high up the agenda and the island has cultivated many restaurants offering very excellent food.
When not at the beach visit one of the islands many art galleries, including Cheddie Richardson’s carving studio. The Heritage Collection Museum covers 4000 years of island history. Dine at restaurants such as Blanchard’s. Enjoy excellent scuba diving, including the galleon at Stoney Bay Marine Park. Play the Greg Norman designed golf course
