British Virgin Islands The British Virgin Islands are unlike any other part of the Caribbean that we have visited. They still retain the unspoiled, uncommercialised atmosphere of the Caribbean before it was discovered by mass tourism, the reason they are often referred to as Nature's Little Secret.
The islands provide the perfect relaxing antidote to the stresses of modern life. Situated in the north of the Caribbean, there are over 50 islands, islets and cays. Tortola, the hub and largest of the chain has palm fringed sandy beaches surrounded by crystal clear turqouise waters and coral reefs - the Caribbean we all see in our dreams.
Virgin Gorda is just a short ferry ride away and once there you will find still more enticing beaches including the unique Baths with its enromous boulders. Most visitors to the British Virgin Islands rapidly become adept at the favourite local pastime - 'limin' on just lazing in the sun watching the world go by whilst sipping one of the local rum cocktails at the friendly bars and restaurants.
