Madeira Madeira, situated off the coast of West Africa with its sub tropical climate is a popular destination at all times of year. Temperatures are generally warm throughout the year ranging from 16 C to 25 C with occasional downpours.

The range of scenery and terrain make Madeira a good choice for walkers. The levada irrigation system which runs for the full length of the islands provides an opportunity to explore much of the island.
